Dear Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Friend, Enemy, Lover, Stranger,
I may not know you (yet), but I am writing to you because I love you enough to honestly remind you that you are not alone. Believe that whatever suffering or pain you are going through, you definitely can and will get through it.
Every day, we wake up to beautiful mornings, eager to start anew. Some say a prayer. Some prepare for work or school. Some collect garbage every morning; some tend someone else’s garden, while some sing, or dance, or write. No matter what we do, every day we get ready to change the world in ways we can. But we are also not perfect because no matter how good our intentions may be, we stumble, or get judged for the things we do or fail to do.
Many times, you will feel alone even when you’re surrounded by people whom you think you can deeply rely on, but more often you forget who doesn’t leave, discriminate, hate, or judge you. We forget that He, who sacrificed Himself for you and me, is just a prayer away. While we, along with everyone He saved, are too consumed in all these earthly desires that we fail to see His hands reaching out like the horizon, to feel His overflowing love.
So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised. -Hebrews 10:35-36
Remember that all these misfortunes do not last, but His Love does. Jesus’ suffering was too painful for any ordinary human to endure, but there He was, carrying the cross, with all of our sins to bear.
So just remembering how He experienced all of our pain makes it alright to be human and go cry about all the sad, miserable things we are currently going through, but do be careful not let your tears wash away your confidence. After these tears have been emptied from your tear ducts, His will shall be much clearer than ever before. Naturally, you will get up on your two feet, emerge anew, and pursue your passions and dreams.
Persevere because at the end of every tunnel, there is this light – His eternal promise just waiting to be received and fulfilled. Don’t lose sight of His will for you – for us.
